A
new future for Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo in the Netherlands
|
The
Dutch import rights to Ferrari and Maserati, which are currently
represented by Kroymans Corporation and Hessing respectively, are due to be
transferred to Ferrari-Maserati West Europe, on
1
October 2004.
Similar
movements have already been carried out in
France
and
Belgium,
as well as the recently announced modification of the
United
Kingdom
arrangement.
Ferrari-Maserati
West Europe is an establishment of Ferrari Maserati Group. Initiated by their
West European head office, this most recent development, combined with
successful dealerships in
North
America,
Germany
and Switzerland,
the Group has decided to control its activities in the most important markets
directly.
As a component of the continuing
cooperation with the Ferrari Maserati Group, the West European office has
appointed three distributors for the Netherlands:
Kroymans Corporation and Munsterhuis for Ferrari and Maserati, and Hessing for
Maserati. Andrea Castronovo, European
Managing Director of Ferrari-Maserati West, explains:
“Ferrari
and Kroymans, together with Maserati and Hessing, have both already developed a
long-term relationship with our brands as importers for the Netherlands.
With enormous devotion they have performed an excellent task with the
promotion of our brands in the Netherlands,
and they have always given first class service to our customers.
"In particular, we are very delighted to introduce the distribution of
Maserati cars through Kroymans. That will
make a further contribution to the development of our brand in the Netherlands.
This special relationship, together with developments in the near future,
reinforces a clear indication of our willingness to continue business with
Kroymans Corporation and Hessing."
Kroymans
have been the official Dutch importers for Ferrari since 1972, their right for a
Maserati concession came into effect on 1 August 2004.
Alfa
Romeo and Kroymans
In
the meantime, Kroymans Corporation are set to take over as the Alfa Romeo
importer for the
Netherlands
from
Fiat
Auto Nederland BV.
The negotiations with Fiat Group in
Italy
are at an advanced stage. Alongside
Ferrari, Kroymans are already the Dutch importers of Jaguar, Aston Martin, Saab,
Hummer, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Corvette, Kia and SsangYong.
In addition, Kroymans have been exclusively selected to manage and
develop the Cadillac and Chevrolet Corvette brands for the whole of Europe,
including the United
Kingdom.
Shareholder Frits Kroymans announced in
Turin, that
his corporation plans to double the sales of Alfa Romeo cars in the
Netherlands
to
9,000 cars. The new top man at Fiat,
Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, holds Kroymans Corporation in high esteem.
Fiat
Auto Nederland BV
has
already informed the Dutch dealers of the current developments.
When the deal goes through, Fiat Auto the
Netherlands
will
only import Fiat and Lancia brands.
In addition, Kroymans Corporation imports, markets
and distributes 100,000+ non brand-dependent car parts and accessories such as
exhausts, braking systems, filters and gearboxes. In 2003 they presented a 1.1
billion euro turnover, a figure which they plan to double in the foreseeable
future.
