The new Maserati MC12 has made its Australian debut over the last week and a half in Sydney, at the prestigious Australian International Motor Show.

Alongside its motor show debut, the awesome V12-powered sportscar, first seen at the Geneva Salon earlier this year, was presented to distinguished guests at an exclusive gathering, organised by Maserati in Australia.

The one hundred and thirty guests that attended the event were top clients of American Express Centurion, Audemars Piguet, Sunseeker and Maserati Australia and New Zealand.

They sailed on a fleet of beautiful Sunseeker cruisers from Rose Bay Wharf to the newly opened and highly rated Flying Fish restaurant and bar, located at the maritime heritage site of Jones Bay Wharf, for seafood canapés served along with Gossett Champagne.

The General Manager of Maserati in Australia, Herbert Appleroth, introduced the MC12 to everyone. Speeches were also made by Julian Farren-Price, Managing Director of J Farren-Price Jewellers and Elicia Kanovski from American Express Centurion.

Later, the winner of the evening’s Lucky Door Prize was presented with an Audemars Piguet diamond and sapphire wristwatch worth A$10,000.

Alongside the centerpiece attraction, the blue and white liveried MC12 'Stradale', were lined up a Maserati-blue finished GranSport, a red Maserati Spyder, and silver Quattroporte saloon.

Maserati was represented at this gathering by Regional Sales Manager, Simone Niccolai. The event was sponsored by American Express, Audemars Piguet and Sunseeker.
