Dawie Brough will
drive the Fiat Palio Special Series Rosso this weekend at Kyalami.
Brough will be taking over from Brad Annasis who recently left the
team to pursue other interests.
Brough joins Mike O'Sullivan and Theunis Eloff who drive the Gala and
Blu Palio's respectively. He started racing eight years ago in Formula
"M" Class C. Amongst other awards he was named the 1997 champion of
the year. In 1998 he moved into Class B and ended the year in third
position.
From 1998 through to 2002, Brough competed in the VW Challenge,
Formula Ford and lastly in Production Car racing. 2003 saw him finish
the season second overall.
The Fiat Palio Bluetooth Racing Team scored their first victory in the
SA Production Car Championship in Round 5 of the Vodacom Power Tour at
the Zwartkops Raceway on the 26 June.
This weekend promises to be exciting and challenging for the team. All
three Fiat Palio Special Series will be at Kyalami to once again
challenge for the podium. |
