With less than a week to
go before Wales Rally GB returns to Cardiff, Paul Tod Rallying has
joined Cardiff Council, Fiat Auto UK and St David’s Shopping Centre to
give shoppers a close up view of the Fiat Stilo Abarth rally car which
makes its World Rally Championship (WRC) debut on this event.
The PT Rallying Stilo will
occupy its prime position in the heart of the prestigious Shopping
Centre from Monday 6th until Sunday 12th September before moving on to
the Cardiff Super Special arena where it will be the main attraction
at the Fiat Auto stand during the event.
The MII / Haywood
Demolition Stilo has already been in promotional action with Paul and
fellow Stilo Cup regular Sean Woffinden joining the Fiat team at their
pre-event media launch, giving first hand experience of the Fiat Stilo
Abarth to media and guests alike.
“We have taken every
opportunity to promote the car this year,” reports Tod. “It’s a lovely
looking rally car, a real eye-catcher, and certainly proved a draw at
the recent Royal Welsh Show – I’d imagine it will be swamped in St
David’s Centre!
“With Fiat UK’s team entry
on the Wales Rally GB, and Scottish privateer, Willie Bonniwell also
competing, there will be four Stilo’s starting the rally, and we are
proud to be a part of the car’s first WRC event. Unfortunately, we are
rallying in Mid Wales on the weekend of the Wales GB, but with two
Welsh drivers amongst the four crews, we will be watching the results
closely!”
Paul’s next event is the
Sweet Lamb Stages on September 19th, the Sunday of the Wales Rally
GB. He will be driving a Subaru Impreza, supplied as part of his
prize for winning the Peugeot 205 Challenge in 2003. |
