19.01.2004 NO LESS THAN THREE QUATTROPORTE LUXURY SALOONS ARE PRESENTED BY MASERATI IN BRUSSELS

Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa at the Brussels Motor Show

The new Quattroporte sports saloon makes up half of the Maserati contingent in Brussels. The luxury four door Quattroporte is being presented to the Belgian public for the first time here.

Clothed in an elegantly-designed Pininfarina body, the new saloon is a modern take on the original Maserati Quattroporte concept of marrying genuine sporting character with space and comfort in a sophisticated Trident marque package. The new car offers today what the first Frua-designed Quattroporte surprised clients with in 1963, the inimitable Trident style, a sophisticated interior awash with full-grain leather and luxury woods, plus a spirited temperament its elegantly understated exterior doesn’t even hint at.

Powered by a 400bhp 4.2-litre V8 engine, the Quattroporte offers a practically endless array of personalisation options, including 15 bodywork colours, three types of wood, rosewood, mahogany and briarwood, 10 shades of leather and a wide range of specific options.

In Brussels a silver Quattroporte, with a black leather interior, takes pride of place, joined on the stand by a dark grey coloured tan leather finished example and, a second silver car, also boasting black leather trim.

The Quattroporte is joined on the compact stand by a Coupe Cambiocorsa, a manual-transmission Spyder and the Maserati Trofeo GT racer. This latter car, resplendent in race colours, was used last year in the Vodafone Trofeo Maserati, a series which kicked off last year, pitting identical cars against each other, and heralded the marque's long awaited return to the race tracks.
