At next month's Geneva Motor Show Fioravanti will introduce, as a world novelty,
an innovative proposition to add an extra touch of charm to the “coupè” concept.
Adding, beside sporting attraction, a real load capacity both in terms of volume
and ease of access, and at the same time giving a new sensation of space with a
semi-transparent roof.
Research is still underway, now in its fourth phase, for the continuing
development of the “LED” beams which were seen for the first time, on the 2001
Fioravanti Vola model.
Fioravanti was formed in 1987 as an
architectural practice targeted at the Japanese market, designing homes in Tokyo
and several clubhouses for golf courses in the surrounding area.
In 1991 the Fioravanti diversified their activities into services to the
automotive industry, focusing in particular on transport and industrial design.
The company aims to express its philosophy through three concepts, firstly that
to design is to engrave upon reality, secondly that style is a means of
perception and finally to perceive innovative concepts through awareness of the
past.
Before setting up
his own consultancy, company boss Leonardo Fioravanti worked at Pininfarina for
twenty-four years, where he personally designed some of the most famous Ferrari
road cars, including the legendary Daytona, and became Managing Director and
General Manager of Pininfarina's research arm, Pininfarina Studi & Ricerche.
During the period of 1988-1991 he was employed by the Fiat Group, first as
deputy General Manager at Ferrari and then as head of Fiat's design centre. |
