Ferrari's
new 2+2 Coupe, the 612 Scaglietti, has received its European Premiere at the
Geneva Motor Show, two of the large V12 Sports Coupe's dominating the Italian
firm's stand.
Two of the models
are being shown here, a red example is mounted on a slowly revolving turntable,
while another of the 5.748-litre V12 engined cars, with an eye-catching red leather
interior, is available for close up examination. A static V12 engine is mounted
next to the cars, while elsewhere in the halls, another 612 Scaglietti is
present on the Pininfarina stand, the car's designers.
The stunning
540bhp 5.748-litre V12 replacement for the long serving 456GT, received its World
Premiere in January at the North American Auto Show in Detroit.
The 612
Scaglietti, which draws its name from one of the marque's most famous craftsmen,
is joined on stand 1053 by the marque's other current models, the 360 Modena, the 360 Spider, the Challenge
Stradale and the 575M Maranello, as well as the 575GTC sportscar racer and
Michael Schumacher's Formula One winning Ferrari F2003-GA.
