23.02.2004 BAD WEATHER CURTAILS FERRARI'S WEEKEND TEST PROGRAM AT MUGELLO FORCING A SWITCH TO IMOLA TODAY

Saturday saw Ferrari return to Mugello to continue the development program with the new F2004 as the season opener in Melbourne looms ever closer. With patchy rain all day interrupting proceedings all day, Rubens Barrichello completed a total of 57 laps, 3 on the short version of the track, with a quickest time of 1:25.842.

The weather deteriorated further yesterday and Barrichello only managed 22 laps, 17 on the short version of the track, with  best time of 1:27.515, before the team took the decision to switch to the 'Enzo e Dino Ferrari' circuit at Imola.

A day earlier than planned, Rubens Barrichello took to the track at Imola today, to continue development work on the F2004. The Brazilian driver covered a total of 98 laps, with a best time of 1:21.720.

Testing will continues at Imola tomorrow, when Michael Schumacher will join Rubens Barrichello, with an F2004 and an F2003-GA at their disposal.
