28.03.2004 BMS ITALIA RESUME WHERE THEY LEFT OFF LAST SEASON AS FABRIZIO GOLLIN AND LUCA CAPPELLARI LEAD HOME THE FIELD IN MONZA

Nr 69 Proton will start from the back of the grid after changing the engine.

Start  Two BMS side by side down the straight, and the nr 1 gests into the first corner first, putting Bobbi into the lead, and pulling away from his team-mate.  RML Saleen makes a very good start, as does the nr 14 Lister.  Alzen attacks Gollin for second, at the final corner.
 The nr 4 Saleen (Lechner jr) goes wide after incident with the nr 14 Lister; goes through the gravel

 Bobbi has a lead of 0.8 seconds ahead of Gollin, with Alzen still in third.  In N-GT, Ortelli  has a lead of over 2 seconds from Lucas Luhr.
Lap 6 The front three have pulled away, with all three  within 1.1 seconds, and then a gap of nearly 7.7 seconds to the fourth-placed Saleen
Lap 8 Livio, in the nr 3 Ferrari, is pushing the nr 14 Lister Storm.  
Lap 9 Livio overtakes Coronel for fifth; the Lister is trying to push back.
 In N-GT, the nr 50 and 99 Porsches are ahead of the nr 62 Ferrari, but all three are within 6 seconds
Lap 10 nr 5 Saleen to the pits - bright green liquid leaking from underneath -retires

Lap 12 Bobbi still leads, nearly a second ahead of Gollin. Erdos, in third place in the RML Saleen, is a further 17 seconds behind.
Lap 14 Close fight between the nr 7 Saleen, nr 2 Ferrari and nr 14 Lister, all within a second.
 Gollin is now only 0.5 seconds behind Bobbi
Lap 15 Livio in the nr 3 Care Racing Ferrari overtakes Erdos in the RML Saleen for third place.  Ferrari 550 Maranello cars are now in the top three places.
Lap 16 Coronel in the nr 14 Lister is attacking Erdos in the nr 7 RML car and overtakes for fourth.  Campbell-Walter, in the Creation Lister, overtakes Naspetti in the GPC Ferrari 575 for seventh.
