09.04.2004 Heavy rain cut short a test session today by the BMS Scuderia Italia at Fiorano

Heavy rain today at Fiorano, Ferrari's private F1-standard test facility, highly influenced the test session scheduled by BMS Scuderia Italia.

The scheduled  technical program by the reigning FIA GT Championship team was reduced due to the weather condition.

Title holder Matteo Bobbi was only able to run a total of 10 laps on board the Ferrari 550 Maranello no 2, the car that is usually driven by Gollin and Cappellari.

Regardless of the few kilometres that were run today, 30 laps in all divided equally between Matteo Bobbi, Fabrizio Gollin and Luca Cappellari, the technicians gathered up enough data to technically improve the car in time for the next race.

“The rain wasn’t very welcoming today," reigning FIA GT Champion Matteo Bobbi commented afterward.

"However, the team was able to get vital information to improve the car," he continued. "It’s always very important to continue testing so you don’t lose your confidence and the feeling with the car. I would like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Easter. The second round of the FIA GT  is in Valencia after the Easter holidays.”
