20.05.2004 "As the team has not been in competition since Petit Le Mans last year it WAS a very useful opportunity to get the whole team working together again” PRODRIVE WRAP UP A TWO DAY TEST A PAUL RICARD

The team, together with all six drivers were present to evaluate a number of different areas of development including aerodynamics and alternative suspension set ups on their two Care Racing owned Ferrari 550 Maranellos.

Former World Rally Champion Colin McRae was joined in the no65 car by Rickard Rydell and Darren Turner as he continued to get track time under his belt prior to next month's Le Mans 24 Hours. Meanwhile the no66 car was piloted by Tomas Enge, Peter Kox and Alain Menu.

At the end of the two days Team Director George Howard-Chappell pronounced himself satisfied with the progress made. “It was a pretty successful test all in all.

"We’ve made progress on our set ups for Le Mans, tested some new developments and even discovered some things about the car which we hadn’t seen before which will help to prepare us for the race in June. As the team has not been in competition since Petit Le Mans last year it was also a very useful opportunity to get the whole team working together again.”

Tomas Enge was at the wheel of the no66 6-litre V12 racer and set a best time of 1m49.1 on the second day, while Darren Turner recorded a fastest time of 1m 49.8 in the no65 car, also on the second day of testing.
