After
having been forced to skip the Phoenix race following a major accident during
the Rolex 24 at Daytona, JMB Racing USA is finally back for round 4 of the Rolex
Sports Car Series with a newly rebuilt Ferrari 360 Modena GT.
The JMB Racing driver lineup for the Canadian race will be made up of Edi Gay
and Maurizio Mediani from Italy and Iradj Alexander from Switzerland.
After missing two rounds of the 2004 Grand American series, all at JMB Racing
USA understand that it will be difficult to go after the coveted GT class title
this year, nevertheless JMB Racing USA and its drivers are more motivated than
ever and excited about their upcoming racing challenges starting May 23 with the
6 Hours of Mont Tremblant in Quebec.
"This time, we are back!", announced team co-owner Ludovico Manfredi. "It has
been a long period of waiting and hard work for our JMB Racing European and
American crews but we are proud to be able to rejoin the series with the same
winning spirit as before. Mont Tremblant is one of the most beautiful racetracks
in North America and I am truly very glad we can make our comeback here in
Canada."
On the drivers' side, since making its debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, JMB
Racing USA driver Maurizio Mediani kept busy, he won his first race for JMB
Racing in a Ferrari 550 Maranello at the first round of the Italian GT
championship in Monza.
In Europe, JMB Racing started its racing program with an ambitious program that
includes the entries of three Ferrari 575 GTC in the FIA GT championship, one
Ferrari 360 Modena GTC in the Le Mans Endurance Series and the 24 Hours of Le
Mans and one Ferrari 550 Maranello in the Italian GT Championship.
After three FIA GT and two Italian GT championship races, JMB Racing has already
scored two wins in Italy and two second place finishes at Magny-Cours (FIA GT)
and Monza (LMES), adding to the team's outstanding racing achievements. |
