27.01.2004 THIS WEEKEND'S DAYTONA 24 HOURS MARKS THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF JMB RACING USA

JMB Racing USA Ferrari 360 Modena at the 2003 Daytona 24 Hours

2003 marked the debut of JMB Racing's participation in American racing. JMB Racing USA participated in its first Rolex 24 at Daytona with two Ferrari 360 Modenas in the GT class as well as in the American Le Mans Series with two Ferrari 360 Modenas and an international drivers' lineup.

The 2004 Rolex 24 at Daytona will mark the first anniversary of American racing for JMB Racing USA and after a full season spent learning the American way, JMB Racing USA will be one of the GT contenders with its unique Daytona Rookie drivers' line-up of three Italian drivers, Ms. Edi Gay, Diego Alessi and Maurizio Mediani; a Swiss national, Iradj Alexander, and an American, Paul Dana.

Even if all drivers are Rookies at Daytona, they are not newcomers to endurance racing. Gay, Alessi and Mediani finished sixth in class co-driving the same car at the last 24 Hours of Spa, Alexander has an extensive endurance racing background with the Ferrari 360 Modena and Dana had his first experience in a twice around the clock event at the 2002 SCCA "Longest Night" 24 hours of Moroso.

"We are excited to get started. We have a very eclectic drivers' line-up that might be an advantage in a 24-hour race. Gay, Alessi, Mediani, Alexander and Dana are experienced drivers and even if they have not made the headlines in US endurance racing yet, the Rolex 24 at Daytona might be the event that will reveal them and show their true talents" announced team co-owner Ludovico Manfredi.

JMB Racing USA will be one of the Ferrari GT contenders at Daytona. The "prancing horse" marque is celebrating its 50th anniversary of presence in The United States of America this year and to commemorate this golden anniversary, the JMB Racing USA Ferrari 360 Modena no11 sponsored by Linel-TEX, The Inn at English Harbour Antigua, Antigua Slipway, siaMOTIVE and Roberlo will carry a special Ferrari commemorative logo.

The Rolex 24 at Daytona will mark the launch of JMB Racing's seventh season of fidelity to Ferrari. The spirit of partnership and cooperation of the JMB race team and Ferrari has been instrumental in the team's outstanding racing achievements including 26 victories, 42 podium finishes, 18 pole positions and 16 track records.

Created in 1995 by Jean Michel Bouresche, JMB Racing has been a global leader in racing, competing with Ferrari cars since 1998 in the most prestigious Sports Car and GT series in Europe and North America. Since its inception, JMB Racing has won 13 titles, among which were three Sports Car World Cups in 1998-1999-2000 with the Ferrari 333 SP and one title as FIA N-GT World Champion in 2001 with the Ferrari 360 Modena.

In 2004, JMB Racing USA will run a minimum of one Ferrari 360 Modena GT in the entire Rolex Sports Car Series and JMB Racing Europe will once again compete in the FIA GT championship and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. JMB Racing will enter Ferrari Maranello 575 GTCs in the GT class, and Ferrari Modena 360 GTCs in the N-GT class. The eleven-race 2004 FIA GT championship begins March 28th in Monza, Italy. JMB will also participate in the Italian GT championship with the Ferrari 550 Maranello.
