15.08.2004 Barron Connor Racing scored their third GTS podium finish of the year yesterday, building on strong early season results at Monza & Sebring: Barron Connor LMES race report from Silverstone

Barron Connor claimed their third GTS podium finish of the season in yesterday's third round of the Le Mans Endurance Series at Silverstone.

Mike Hezemans, Jean-Denis Deletraz and, new driver, Andrea Piccini scored a fine second place in the GTS class at the Silverstone 1000kms, claiming what was the third GTS podium finish for the Ferrari 575 GTC-running team, which finished second at Sebring and in the Monza 1000kms earlier this year.

The Barron Connor team's other Ferrari was brought home in fourth place by John Bosch, Danny Sullivan and Thomas Biagi, who in the process strengthened their second place in the Le Mans Endurance Championship standings.

This trio was poised for a podium finish too, but lost time when having to repair damage to the car after Danny Sullivan was unable avoid a spinning Ferrari 360 and was later pushed aside by another car.

Repairing the damaged bodywork dropped the car back to fourth position, where it would eventually finish.

Before the final round, the Barron Connor Racing team is now second in the GTS class standings of the Le Mans Endurance Series.
