21.04.2004 MIXED CONDITIONS FOR THE MASERATI MC 12 SPORTSCAR DURING A TWO DAY TEST SESSION AT FIORANO EARLIER THIS WEEK

Reparto Corse Maserati kicked off a two day development test session at Fiorano on Monday with the new GT-bound MC 12 sportscar. During the afternoon, Andrea Bertolini took to the track.

The opening session was held in the rain and the Ferrari-Maserati Group’s sports test driver covered 21 laps, the quickest in a time of 1:19.456.

The test was wrapped up yesterday, but with air temperatures rising and the track remaining dry, more meaningful times were posted by the MC 12.

Once again Bertolini was in the driving seat, running an eventual total of 105 laps on Fiorano's short course, the quickest being a 1:11.840.

Bertolini will resume development work as testing resumes tomorrow, Thursday, again at Fiorano.
