Gabriele Tarquini and the Autodelta Alfa Romeo team at BrnoThe Autodelta cars and drivers wear mourning this weekend in Brno, to commemorate Umberto Agnelli who passed away on Thursday evening.

Agnelli, who had taken over from his late brother Gianni as chairman of the FIAT Group, was suffering from a tumour in the lymphatic system, he was 69.

Following the steps of Ferrari Formula 1 team, which is wearing mourning during this weekend’s European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, the three Autodelta drivers, Gabriele Tarquini, Fabrizio Giovanardi and Augusto Farfus, are wearing a black arm-band on their racing overalls, while their Alfa Romeo 156 cars sport black stripes on the bonnet, across the radiator grille.

The Italian National Football team will also wear mourning on Sunday, during its match in Florence against Tunisia.
