James THOMPSON – AutoDelta, 1st in Race 1 and 3rd in Race
2
"It was a fantastic weekend for me. I couldn’t
expect anything better, honestly. In the first race I had a good start, and the
guys behind me gave me a big hand, being in a close fight. So, head down, I
managed to pull away.
"I was quite pleased for myself when I realised there was such a big gap,
because I really wanted to win this race. But I was also disappointed in
someway, because it could have been an Alfa 1-2-3.”
Gabriele TARQUINI – AutoDelta, 3rd in
Race 1 and 2nd in Race 2
"It was my target to score in both races today.
In the first I enjoyed a lot fighting with Jörg Müller; in the second I was
closing in on Priaulx, but then my tyres went down because of some oil on the
track.
"In the second part of the race I tried to reduce the gap again, but Andy
did a very good race.
"The championship is still opened for me: last year I was 11 points behind Jörg
with only four rounds to go. Now I’m 15 points behind, and we still have eight
rounds…”
Fabrizio GIOVANARDI – AutoDelta, 4th
in Race 1 and 16th in Race 2
"My first race was jeopardized right after the start. Jörg (Müller) hit me, I
nearly lost control and clashed with Gabriele (Tarquini). Then I managed to move
up to second, but I made a mistake and dropped down behind Jörg
and Gabriele.
"The second race was very unlucky: at Redgate Jörg, Gené and me we were on the
same line and clashed.
"My front bumper was interlocked into Jörg’s car, and I
couldn’t do anything to avoid the accident.”
Salvatore
TAVANO – Oregon Team, 11th in Race 1 and 10th in Race 2
"I had two very good races today. I am happy, because we have
worked very hard the whole weekend, and the team did a very good job in setting
up the car.
"I really enjoyed the second race, when Tom Coronel was chasing me.
Eventually he managed to pass me, but I was contented with second place."
