12.10.2005 The Italian Automotive Center, Belgium's largest Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia dealership, recently held a WELL ATTENDED launch party to introduce the new Alfa 159 and Fiat Croma

The Italian Automotive Center, Belgium's largest Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia dealership, recently held a glamourous and highly successful launch party to introduce the exciting new Alfa 159 and Fiat Croma. Situated on the Ch. de Louvain, right in the heart of dynamic Brussels, the Italian Automotive Center (IAC) is a full subsidiary of Fiat Spa, and is the thriving Belgian capital city's leading Italian-specific dealership, catering as it does for all four of the Fiat Auto brands: Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and LCV.

The thousand year old City of Brussels rightly prides itself on being the 'crossroads of Europe', and the validity of this claim is amply borne out by the fact that it is home to the European Commission and to the Council of ministers of the European Union (EU), the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) as well as being the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Planning Europe (SHAPE). Thus it is a truly cosmopolitan city, where many different cultures live side by side, and where different languages (Belgium in fact has two official tongues) can be heard on every street corner, while the splendour of its historic market square, the world famous Grand'Place, with its striking gothic-style town hall, draws in tourists from afar.

IAC firmly believes that it has an important part to play in the heady Brussels mix, the Fiat Auto dealership bringing the cocktail of emotion, style and pure excitement provided by Italy's finest cars to the vibrant streets of this historic city. From the cute, 'Car of the Year' award winning Panda, to the elegant, refined Lancia Musa, and the dazzling Bertone-styled Alfa GT Coupé, a car that comfortably scooped the prestigious 'Most Beautiful Car in the World Award', IAC caters for every taste.

Two very important new models from the Fiat Auto stable have just arrived on the market. Firstly, the Giorgetto Giugiaro-styled Fiat Croma is a car that revives the name of the respected 1980s Fiat stalwart, in a fresh new interpretation that offers the agility and ease of convenience of a sedan, blended with the roominess and dynamic abilities of a station wagon.

More than three hundred guests arrived at the Italian Automotive Center's modern spacious showroom in Brusels for the presentation of the Alfa  159  and  Fiat  Croma

Secondly, the Alfa Romeo 159, which has been one of the most eagerly anticipated cars to arrive on the market for many years, the latest contender in a legendary line-up to proudly bear the coat of arms of the world's style capital, the City of Milan. Replacing the highly-regarded iconic Alfa 156 is itself no small feat to achieve, however, the luxurious, powerful, and effortlessly stylish Alfa 159 is bursting emotion and pumps the adrenaline, as it seeks to drive segment standards forward and up to a new level, a real and genuine new alternative to the established market-leaders, BMW's 3-series and Audi's A4.

The Fiat Croma and Alfa 159 have recently arrived in Belgium and IAC wanted to mark this important occasion in style. "We have a new management team in place here, and we have been working very hard for the last six months to drive our operations forward," comments David Leeson, IAC's Fleet & LCV Manager. "All the hard work is now starting to bear fruit, as we are connecting successfully with both our existing customers, and many potential new ones. Therefore the presentation of these anticipated two new models was, simply put, the ideal opportunity to re-launch our business into the public eye."

"We invited the fleet managers of most of the large multinational companies based in Brussels, as well as extending an invitation the expansive Italian community here, many of whom work for the European Union, NATO, SHAPE, as well as the Embassy and Consulate," continues David. The glitzy launch party was deemed by all to be a roaring success. The more than three hundred guests who arrived at IAC's modern, spacious showrooms for the presentation of the Alfa 159 and Fiat Croma were treated to a superb Italian buffet, enhanced by an array of Italian wines and live music. "The evening went very well," concludes David, "the cars drew an awful lot of interest, and their styling was much praised. There is certainly a very strong affinity with the three Fiat Auto brands here, something which we are greatly looking forward to building upon."
