Ferrari has
successfully completed the fourth leg of its epic 25,000 km
drive around China in two Ferrari 612 Scaglietti supercars,
with the crossing of the deserts and then climbing more than 5000 metres
to enter Tibet and its capital, Lhasa.
As the V12 powered Ferrari 612s climbed to the top of the
world, passing the birth place of Confucius and the great
Wall of China, their only competition on the traffic-free
roads were the occasional herds of yaks and their nomadic
owners. From the highest part of the world, the Ferraris,
which have performed faultlessly, will now head for the
remotest part of the world, the Gobi desert.

This remarkable journey is designed to prove the total
all-round ability of the four seat Ferrari supercar, that it
can top 300 km/h on a German autobahn and cross the deserts
and mountains of China, while delivering the comfort,
performance and style for which Ferrari is justifiably a
legend in its own right.
