Representatives
of the Fiat Freestyle Team visited Ferrari's Maranello
factory this week. The squad was created in 2004 and
includes athletes from various freestyle sporting
disciplines: snowboarding, freestyle skiing, skateboarding,
surfing
and kitesurfing. The Prancing Horse visit came after the
team had been to the Skipass di Modena event, an exhibition
dedicated to promoting the 2006 Winter Olympics to be held
in Turin. Claudio Bosia (2005 ski freestyle Italian champion and
Olympic athlete), Mattia Pegorari (runner-up in the 2005
Italian freestyle ski championships and Olympic athlete),
Simone Malusą (2004 runner-up in world boardercross -
snowboard - and Olympic athlete), Piercarlo Ricasoli (third
in the 2004 Italian kitesurfing championship) all had the
chance to take a close up look at the production line.

At the end of the visit the four athletes gathered
for the traditional photograph, it was taken in the
showroom with a splendid V12-engine 612 Scaglietti
the Ferrari flagship model |

They also visited the selleria, where all the leather Ferrari
interiors are put together, and the Nuova Meccanica building
that designs Ferrari's GT engines. At the end of the visit the four
Fiat Freestyle Team athletes gathered for
the traditional photographs. This time it was taken in the
showroom with a splendid V12-engined 612 Scaglietti, the Ferrari
flagship model.
