From 1st to 5th
March, the 55th Italian Song Festival at Sanremo will be on
air during prime time viewing on the popular Rai Uno
channel. The programme's anchorman, Paolo Bonolis, the
undisputed front man of the current Italian TV season, will
introduce an exceptional star: the new Fiat Croma.
Long awaited, and with interest from the public and papers
growing, Bonolis will himself present the new Fiat car to
the masses at the same time as the International Automotive
Fair of Geneva, where the official 'world premiere' will
take place.
In order to unveil some of the features of the new car, the
showman will act in a brilliant mini-series of 'telepromotions',
together with a beautiful and mysterious woman. Dressed in
fluent clothing with metallic reflections, she will be
nominated to bring him to discover the new car and its
particular shining dimension. In fact, an alternative
language has been devised to show these new automotive
features, a parallel dimension where the future becomes real
and required needs meet a concrete answer.
Designed by
Giorgietto Giugiaro, and to be built at the Cassino
facility, the new Fiat Croma comes to life bearing the name
of the historic model, which, from 1985 to 1994, was a very
strong contender in the middle-upper market segment.

the ideal answer for everybody who has different tastes and
lifestyles, and has something to positive to share: the
desire of a nice and comfortable car. The new Croma offers
generous dimensions, it was born for these people, as it
features an extraordinary inner "inhabitance", along with
five engines, coupled to excellent mechanical and automatic
gearboxes.
Two petrol engines, a 1.8 16v with 130bhp and a 2.2 16v
offering 150bhp, will be available along with three
turbodiesel ones, the 1.9 Multijet 16v with 120bhp and
150bhp, and finally the as yet unreleased Multijet 2.4 20v

also see a brand new generation of the Punto launched, at
