Stephen Norman,
currently Market General Manager and Managing Director of
Fiat Auto France, has been appointed Marketing Director,
Worldwide for the Fiat Brand, and will take up the new
responsibility on July 1st, 2005.
Mr. Norman will report to Luca De Meo, Senior Vice President
Brand & Commercial, Fiat, for product and communication
marketing including positioning, mix, pricing and commercial
launches.
Carlos Gomes, while continuing to be Country Manager, Alfa
Romeo Brand, has been also appointed Market General Manager
of Fiat Auto France. Christophe Decultot retains the
responsibility of Country Manager, Fiat and Lancia Brands.
Stephen Norman, who is 50-years old, has been Market General
Manager and Managing Director of Fiat Auto France since
January 2004. He started his long career in European car
marketing in 1976 in England and has extensive marketing,
commercial and general management experience in different
countries including Great Britain, Spain and France, and
with a number of world automobile manufacturers, among which
are Rover and the Volkswagen Group. Mr. Norman graduated in
Economics at the University of Leicester.
Fiat Group
reorganizes its Committees
Meanwhile, Fiat has re-organised its committees. The
following statement was released this week: "Gian Maria
Gros-Pietro, Virgilio Marrone, Vittorio Mincato and Mario
Zibetti, the four Directors newly appointed by the
Stockholders Meeting, for the first time attended the Fiat
Board of Directors meeting which was held after the
Stockholders Meeting under the chairmanship of Luca Cordero
di Montezemolo.
The Board determined that the following Directors meet the
independence requirements: Angelo Benessia, Flavio Cotti,
Luca Garavoglia, Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, Hermann-Josef
Lamberti, Vittorio Mincato, Pasquale Pistorio and Mario
Zibetti. As of today, the Fiat Board of Directors is
comprised of fifteen members, the majority of whom are
independent. |
