Maserati's new Coupe and
Spyder Model Year 2005 range, along with the limited edition
90th Anniversary Spyder, the GranSport, and the
all-conquering Quattroporte, are on display to the public at
the 71st Melbourne International Motor Show this week.
The stunning Maserati stand is like no other. The four cars
on display share the exclusive stand with some of the
world's finest luxury goods - the very latest sound and
visual equipment from Bang & Olufsen, as well as the new
2005 collection from Italian fine furniture manufacturer
Poltrona Frau.
Undoubtedly the
star of Maserati's collection is the 90th Anniversary Spider
model, with its eye-catching 'Anniversary Blue' colour
scheme, along with finers unique details such as the grey
headlamp backs and carbon-fibre roll-hoop covers. Just two
of these exclusive models are destined for Australia, and it
is believed that both were snapped up the moment the order
book opened.

The 71st Melbourne International Motor Show, which opened on
the 1st March, and closes its doors for the last time
tomorrow, is a flagship event for the Australian automotive
industry.
The inaugural Melbourne International Motor Show was
officially opened on 30th April 1925 and it is now one of
the oldest motor shows in the world and by far the longest
running in Australia.
Last year, the 70th staging of the Melbourne International
Motor Show, a total of 257,563 visitors attended, surpassing
previous attendance records set in 2003 and 2002 of 256,907
and 255,031 visitors respectively.
The Melbourne International Motor Show features Australia’s
passenger car manufacturers and major vehicle importers and
such is its growth that the Show now occupies the total
floor space of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, inside and
out.
The Motor Show occupies the entire 30,000 square metre
pillarless Melbourne exhibition hall together with the 8,000
square metre glass-walled concourse area and various outdoor
exhibit locations.
