The Estoril race track will
receive on May 1st the 2005 Alfa Romeo Iberic concentration,
organised by the Spanish Alfa Club in a close collaboration
with the Portuguese Alfa Romeo Club.
Every year the Spanish Club
has their traditional national meeting at one of the several
race tracks in Spain, which represents a great opportunity
to join up Alfa Romeo fans, not only the Spanish ones, but
also the members of other Alfa Clubs, like the Portuguese
one, and all the 'Alfistas' in general that want to take
part in what is a major concentration of Alfa Romeos in this
corner of Europe.
Traditionally, the meeting
has an important sponsor, in the shape of the Spanish Alfa
Romeo importer, and the 2005 event isn't an exception. This
year, the Alfa Romeo importer and the Alfa Spanish Club
decided to organise the meeting at the famous Portuguese 'Estoril'
circuit.

Two years ago it was
the turn of the Jerez de La Frontera circuit in
Spain to reverberate to the sound of many Alfa Romeo
engines at the annual national Alfa

On Sunday the Alfa Romeo Clubs of
Spain and Portugal will get together at the Estoril
racetrack, an occasion which will be marked by the
Portugeese debut of the Alfa Crosswagon |
|
Estoril will offer a set of on and off track conditions that represent a
memorable scenario for this traditional demonstration of
passion and devotion to the Arese brand. This track is of
Formula 1 standard, and after received the Portuguese Grand
Prix for several years in 1980s and 1990s is still is one of
the places that F1 teams visit during their winter test
programmes.
In these terms, this
weekend's concentration in Estoril is a desirable event and
is set to produce a magic ambiance, with the Alfa Cuore
fulfilled with the passion that every Alfista wants to share
with each other. It’s also a great opportunity to gather
together both Portuguese and Spanish Alfa cars, classics or
modern, and joining the expected large number of our Spanish
friends, the Portuguese official Alfa Romeo Club also
expects a massive representation of their members in Estoril.
As a complement of the day's
programme, the new Alfa Romeo Crosswagon Q4 will have its
official presentation in Portugal. This will represent an
ideal for the assembled 'Alfista' to drive and get a feel
for this new four wheel drive Alfa Romeo with its
sophisticated differential system.
