The absolute
star of the Lancia stand in Bologna is the Ypsilon MomoDesign, a new
beefier-looking version of the Ypsilon that is also very
trendy. It was created jointly by Lancia and the MomoDesign
Style Centre, which share innovation in design, the use of
cutting-edge materials and attention to detail. That is why
in this new version of the Ypsilon the sporty look is emphasised together with the refined elegance that has
always distinguished Lancia models.
Visitors to the Bologna show can admire three examples in
different body-colours that enhance their dynamic look. The
chosen colour combination is absolutely original. This
version marks the first appearance on a large-scale
production vehicle of the matte metallic black shade on the
tailgate, roof and pillars, combined on the first vehicle
with Orange, on the second with Red and on the third with
Black (all non-metallic shades). Stunning Glamour cloth has
been used to trim the seats. The colour chosen for the side
strips is black combined with orange, red and magnesium on
the seat area depending on the exterior shade.

The seats also feature distinctive silver top-stitching with
double rivets. The extremely opulent range of creature
comforts on the three cars on show include a manual climate
control system with pollen filter, dual drive power
steering, sporty 15” alloys, radio with CD and MP3 player
(the latter is an option), ABS with EBD, 4 airbags and a foglight. Other major
content items are also present: steering wheel adjustable
for height and reach; fold-down, tilting back seats;
height-adjustable front seat (driver side); trip computer;
two body-coloured door mirrors; front electric windows;
195/55 tyres; follow me home lights; steering wheel and gear
knob in perforated leather with silver top-stitching. The red and
orange Lancia Ypsilon MomoDesign cars are also equipped with
a 70 bhp 1.3 16v mjt engine while the black car is powered
by an 80 bhp 1.2 16v power unit.
