At the 'My
Special Car' show held at the new Rimini Exhibition Centre
over the weekend Alfa Romeo presented an Alfa GT equipped
with the new 'Tecnico Sportivo' styling upgrade kit.
The 'My Special
Car' show is Italy's premiere styling and tuning
extravaganza, held each year in the east coast holiday town.
This year Fiat Auto took the show seriously with both Fiat
and Alfa Romeo officially present. While Fiat presented the
Giorgetto Giugiaro reworked Croma 8ttoV, the Idea Sport and
the Panda turbodiesel rallycar concept, Alfa weighed in with
debuts for the GT 'Tecnico Sportivo', the Sportwagon 'Sport'
and an Alfa 147 1.9 JTD fitted with an iPod.
The Alfa GT
model was in fct very well represented in the large,
brand-new halls of the Rimini Exhibition Centre. Various
bodystyle-enhanced examples were on show, while a 'standard'
JTD-powered version was shown by alloy wheel manufacturer
Toora, and of course the 320bhp, 175 mph supercharged
Autodelta GT 3.2 Super, the ultimate expression of refined 'Gran
Touring' motoring, a car which was one of the show's
highlights.

Alfa Romeo debuted the 'Technico Sportivo' package, which
will be made available through the Alfa Romeo dealer
network. It offers a new style of bodykit, optional alloy
wheels, and several higher-specification interior cosmetic
enhancements.
The new front
bumper and spoiler arrangement features slotted cut-outs
around the traditional Alfa 'heart' grille which are clearly
inspired by the early Alfa 156's well known styling cues,
while new side skirts, rear bumper and slim, curved bootlid
'lip' spoiler, complete the visual makeover for the Alfa 156
based coupe.
Two alloy wheels
styles are also offered, an 18-inch (available with 225/40
tyres) or 17-inch (215/45), while usual GT optional
accessories such as aluminium pedals and footrests and boot
luggage nets.
