Last year's Spa
24 Hour winners Lilian Bryner and Enzo Calderari will be
joining Larbre Competition for its renewed attack on this
year's FIA GT Championship.
With the promising, young Steve Zacchia, they will form an
all-Swiss driver line up in one of the two Care Racing
supported Ferrari 550 Maranellos that Larbre will
operate. The other car will be driven by Pedro Lamy and
Gabriele Gardel.
The signing of the seasoned and capable duo, who competed
for Care Racing in 2004, means that all Larbre's FIA GT
drivers have previous experience with the Ferrari 550,
something which team owner Jack Leconte considers a great
advantage.
"I am very pleased to welcome Lilian and Enzo to Larbre. We
have a fantastic stable of Champions and race winners,
including the only female Spa 24 H winner. To be able to
start the season straight away without anyone having to get
used to a new car will, I am confident, give us an advantage
over our competitors."

Bryner and Calderari have driven for reigning FIA GT
Champions, BMS Scuderia Italia, for the last three
years. The Italian team is moving to the Le Mans Endurance
Series for 2005, but this was not a series which appealed to
the two Swiss drivers as much as the FIA GT Championship.
Enzo Calderari said, "We wanted very much to take part again
in the Spa 24 Hours, to defend our title, and this is
obviously part of the FIA's Championship. To run with
prototypes [at Le Mans and the LMES] is not so easy and we
didn't want to do Le Mans. We are very comfortable in the
FIA GT.
"Jack has worked hard to put this deal together and Lilian
and I are both happy to be driving the Care Racing Ferraris
again. We know Jack runs a good team and I think it will
work very well. BMS were very understanding about our
decision and we have left them for this year on very good
terms."
