25.03.2005 A two car Maserati MC 12 attack on the FIA GT Championship will spearhead a highly ambitious 2005 programme from JMB Racing

The JMB Racing has announced that a two car Maserati MC 12 GT1 attack in the FIA GT Championship, in partnership with Pirelli and Red Bull, will spearhead a highly ambitious 2005 programme from the French outfit.

Three drivers have already been signed for the Maserati seats, and are Andrea Bertolini, Karl Wendlinger and Philip Peter. The line up will be completed when the final driver is announced shortly with two day's of testing will be held on March 30th and 31st in Italy.

The 2005 season in fact will be the strongest yet for JMB Racing. In addition to FIA GT Championship with the two Maserati MC 12 sportscars and a in Le Mans Endurance Series GT1 class bid with a single Ferrari 575 GTC, the team will also run no less than three cars in the Italian GT Championship.

Spearheading this challenge will be the teams other former FIA GT Championship Ferrari  575 GTC, which will driven by Lorenzo Case, a winner of five races in this series last year which helped to take him to third position in the series overall, and by a second driver who will be announced shortly.

Two of JMB Racing's Ferrari 575 GTC sportscars will appear in this year's LMES series and the Italian GT Championship


Stepping down a class and JMB Racing will run a brace of Ferrari 360 GTC sportscars. The first to be driven by Maurizio Mediani, winner of the opening Italian GT Championship race at Imola last year.

He will be partnered this by Dino D'Ambrosio, a 'gentleman' category driver who is also a well know sound engineer, who will use the world of motor sport to interact with his famous clients.

The second Ferrari 360 GTC, is to be piloted by Albert Thurn und Taxis, a promising young driver who steps up from the Trofeo Vodafone Maserati series.

Steve Earle, is a driver with vast experience of the 360 Modena, having raced this car long distance at the 2002 Le Mans 24 Hours and the Spa 24 Hours in 2002 and 2003, as well as in the American Le Mans Series, and having been a five times winner of the Ferrari Challenge USA. He will fill the second seat.
