Ferrari, the world’s
largest producer of ultra-luxury sports cars, and Sports
Motors, the exclusive importers of Ferrari and Maserati in
the Gulf State Qatar, came together to organise ‘The Pilota Ferrari’
recently, reports the Gulf Times newspaper.
The programme, normally conducted in Italy and brought to
Qatar for the first time, is a driving course which offers
Ferrari owners the opportunity to improve their driving
skills and techniques. Organised by the sales and marketing
teams of both the companies, the course also enables them to
fully appreciate the safety of their car under a variety of
conditions.
The event, held at the Losail International Circuit, had
participation from 35 select Ferrari owners from the region
who brought their own cars. Alfardan Group president Omar
Alfardan described the event as a natural result of the
strategic relation of Sports Motors with Ferrari. “This also
conveys to the world, the huge development and prosperity of
Qatar and the presence of the Losail International Circuit
that helps to organise such a demanding event,” he stated.
The programme featured a classroom theory session and three
driving sessions, all conducted by the Pilota Ferrari
instructors, specially flown in from Italy.
