In June 2004 Sir
Christopher Gent joined the Board of GlaxoSmithKline
as the Deputy Chairman before assuming the position
of Non-Executive Chairman this January. Gent was CEO
of the Vodafone Group Plc from 1997 to July 2003,
and is attributed with turning the mobile phone
operator into a global giant partly through a series
of major takeover deals. He originally joined
Vodafone as Managing Director when the company first
launched its service in the UK in 1985. |

A total of 5,409
cars were delivered to their owners last year, an increase
of 8.7 pct. Welcoming the new directors to the company,
President Luca di Montezemolo was pleased to announce the
record-breaking results, the growth in the emerging markets
and the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the new Ferrari
models.
