Ferrari has chosen Shell to provide the fuel and lubricants
for the all-new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, marking the next
chapter in the longstanding Shell-Ferrari technical
partnership.
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano - which was unveiled at the
Geneva Motor Show in March - is the very latest in a
prestigious line of Gran Turismo cars produced by the
legendary Italian brand renowned for its leadership in
world-class motorsport and performance car development. The V12-engined 599 GTB Fiorano was designed by Pininfarina
and this year it replaces the outgoing 575 M Maranello.
Every one of the new models produced by Ferrari will be fuelled
for the very first time by Shell V-Power and protected by a
suite of Shell lubricant products led by Shell Helix engine
oil when it leaves the gates of Maranello.
The decision extends Shell’s status as Ferrari’s choice
of fuels and lubricants for all of its road car products as
well as Scuderia Ferrari, the famous Ferrari Formula One
team. Shell was the technical partner behind Ferrari’s first
ever Grand Prix victory, in 1951. Today, that role continues,
with Shell fuelling Ferrari’s recent string of consecutive
FIA Formula One Constructors’ World Championship titles,
from 1999 to 2004.

Shell is also a partner in the Panamerican 20,000 which got
underway in Belo Horizonte in Brazil yesterday. The journey
will see two Ferrari 599 GTB Fioranos travelling across
South and North America before arriving in New York in
November. Shell fuel stations along the route will play a
critical role in keeping the Ferrari 599 GTBs supplied with
Shell V-Power fuel while a team of Shell technicians will
accompany the cars all the way.
