02.11.2006 GLAMOROUS CUSTOMER LAUNCH FOR THE FERRARI 599 GTB FIORANO IN AUSTRALIA

The new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was introduced to Ferrari owners in Australia and New Zealand timed to coincide with its public debut at the Australian International Motor Show with an invitation-only event at the luxurious Sydney Park Hyatt Hotel, overlooking Sydney Harbour and the world-famous Opera House.

More than 130 guests enjoyed a spectacular display, followed by a close inspection of the second 599 GTB Fiorano to arrive in Australia, along with its forbearer, the Ferrari F40. Car number one was revealed earlier in the day to the media at the Motor Show.

“The welcome for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano in Australia has been spectacular,” said Kevin Wall, the General Manager of European Automotive Imports, the Australian and New Zealand importer. “Before we had taken the wraps off the car, we had already sold the entire allocation for 2006 and 2007, such has been demand for the car.

"As befits a car that has been described as the best supercar of all time, the 599 GTB looks set to be also one of the most successful," added Mr Wall. The event marked the first year of European Automotive Imports acting as the Australian importer in Australia. Kevin Wall told the media at the press-preview that EAI had kept its promise to lift customer service, with new Ferrari dealerships opening in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, along with major upgrades in facilities in Adelaide, Perth and Auckland underway. In Sydney an all-new Ferrari facility is under construction in Green Square and the range and scale of customer events has been increased.
