The President of
Alfardan Automobiles, Omar Alfardan, has this weekend
inaugurated a brand new boutique which will sell a range of
Ferrari accessories, at the prestigious Alfardan Centre in
Qatar. This outlet is the first to be rolled out in the
Middle East and follows a pattern that has seen exclusive
Ferrari-branded stores being opened. The boutique will sell
merchandise including clothing and footwear, memorabilia and
key chains.
Omar Alfardan told reporters that the Ferrari trademark
commanded respect and it had a lot of fans around the world,
reported the Gulf Times. He said more such boutiques
will be opened in Qatar, in line with the policy of the
Ferrari company. Omar said the second boutique will be
opened at the Alfardan Towers while the third will be
located at the Pearl-Qatar, the multi-billion-dollar
man-made island off the Doha coast. Mohamed Kandeel,
Ferrari’s deputy marketing manager, said the project was
part of a plan to promote the Ferrari brand name in Qatar.
"Ferrari accessories have been enjoying huge popularity in
Europe, and we want to give our customers the same chance of
owning these products in Doha," the Gulf Times
reported Kandeel as saying. He added that "the Ferrari brand
is very famous and company officials have been trying to
promote the brand all over the world."

The boutique in Qatar follows a marketing strategy to
maximise the value of the Ferrari brand which has seen a
roll out of Ferrari branded 'Stores', across Italy, Europe
and the world. In September the most recent outlet was
opened in
Venice, a high profile occasion that saw a Ferrari F1 car
travelling down the city's famous canals and the outlet
opened by Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa. The Venice Ferrari Store follows on the heels of others
which have been opened in
Maranello, Roma, Milan, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Las Vegas.
There are also shops in Bologna, Milano Malpensa and Roma
Fiumicino airports. The ambitious expansion plan will see
the opening of a further forty sales points in the next five
years.
