Nokia
and Lamborghini have launched a special new mobile
phone, the 8800 Sirocco, which will be limited to
just a run of 500 units and will sold to the sports
car maker's customers. The 8800 Sirocco phone will
come with a series of special Lamborghini graphics,
a unique documentary video and special ringtones,
while the slider mechanism features roller bearings
made by Lamborghini at the Bologna factory.
Inspired by the luxurious and prestigious car
manufacturer based in Italy, Nokia has designed
a timeless piece of art which embodies the
Lamborghini brand, uncompromising design and
latest technological standards - states a press
release issued by Nokia. Combining these
characteristics with the Nokia world of
telecommunications, the result is a master-piece
of design and technology. With the discreet laser
etched Lamborghini logo on the front and on the
stainless steel casing and the words “Automobil
Lamborghini” on its holder, serve as a constant
reminder of its uniqueness and exclusivity.
Sensuous curves inspired by nature translate
into an ergonomic masterpiece that fits the hand
perfectly. Ball bearings crafted by Lamborghini
have been used, allowing a sophisticated slide
mechanism.
Premium features like the 262,144 colour TFT
display protected by scratch-resistant sapphire
coated glass and an integrated 2-megapixel
camera as well as a 128mb internal memory
demonstrate the latest technological standards
of this product. The Nokia 8800 contains a
selection of striking Lamborghini graphics for
use as wallpapers or screensavers and a short
documentary video by Lamborghini plus exclusive
Ringtones that evoke the power of the
Lamborghini engine. The Lamborghini edition
Nokia phone features many
highly advanced technological functions such as tri-band
GSM coverage on up to five continents, an
integrated digital mp3 music player, Bluetooth
connectivity, xHTML browsing over TCP/IP, email
supports for POP3, SMTP, IMAP4 and APOP protocols,
IMPS Instant messaging, data transfer over EDGE,
GPRS or TCP/IP, video streaming services,
