Maserati is
exhibiting its latest models, the Quattroporte Sport GT and
the GranSport Spyder, at the 11th annual Canary Wharf
Motorexpo in London, which opened yesterday and runs until
Sunday, 28 May.
Set in the heart of Canary Wharf, one of the world's most
vibrant business environments, the Motorexpo is free to
visit and provides an excellent background to showcase
Maserati's newest creations. Visitors to the show can also
test drive the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT and the
Maserati GranSport. The Maserati stand is in the Coutts
Zone, on the ground floor of the Canary Wharf Tower.
The Sport GT version of the Quattroporte was created to
further enhance the high performance spirit and sporty
character that set the Quattroporte apart from any other
executive saloon. From an engineering point of view, the
gearbox has been given the most radical overhaul; the Sport
button allows the driver to significantly cut gear changing
times (which are now 35% faster on average), thanks to a
development in the electro-hydraulic transmission system's
CPU. At high engine speeds, the Quattroporte Sport GT's
exhaust system also gives a much deeper rumble to the
already sporty sound of the Maserati 4.2 litre V8.
The 20" wheels and specific Skyhook adaptive damping
software mean a clear improvement in dynamic handling when
used in more press-on situations.

The Maserati GranSport and its Spyder version are
designed to entice the sportier Trident enthusiasts.
For both versions the front bumper has a very
pronounced low spoiler, with the side bars elegantly
integrated into the body itself. |

The wheels, which include the tyre pressure monitoring
system, are combined with brakes featuring metal weave
tubing, cross-drilled discs and titanium-coloured callipers.
The car's sporty character is enhanced by subtle yet
significant aesthetic touches. The black chrome of the
grille and the side air intakes and the carbon fibre trimmed
steering wheel, complete the look of the Quattroporte Sport
GT. Priced from £80,595, the stylish Quattroporte also
includes a 'Peace of Mind' package which covers the
scheduled servicing for the first three years.
The Maserati GranSport and its Spyder version are designed
to entice the sportier Trident enthusiasts. For both
versions the front bumper has a very pronounced low spoiler,
with the side bars elegantly integrated into the body
itself. The look is completed by attractive 19" wheel rims
inspired by those sported by the cars competing in the
Trofeo Vodafone Maserati Europe series. Traditional Maserati
elegance has not been neglected either with a classic chrome
finish given to the front grille. The interior is a cleverly
designed mix of carbon, leather and technical fabric trim
BrighTex®. As a result, the cabin has a very strong racing
feel whilst still exuding authentic Trident elegance.
