Earlier this
month at Ferrari's private test track, Fiorano, and in the
presence of Stefano Sterpone, Iveco Sales & Marketing Senior
Vice President, and Jean Todt, Ferrari Managing Director,
the delivery of two Iveco Daily vans and one Iveco Minibus
Irisbus Proxys 100E17 officially took place, thus further
enlarging the number of Iveco vehicles escorting Maranello
“reds” on Formula 1 World Championship race tracks. The
ceremony was attended also by Sergio Perini, Iveco Italy
Market General Manager and Giuseppe Amaturo, Managing
Director of Irisbus Italia, Stefano Domenicali, Sport
Manager of the Ferrari team, and Antonio Ghini,
Communication Manager of Ferrari.
Red indeed, in the exclusive shade typical of Formula 1 team
vehicles, the two Daily Euro 4 vans, the first ones of the
new range delivered to the Ferrari team, will be used for
the transport of tyres and other technical components to be
tested on the race tracks, while Iveco Irisbus Proxys
100E17, suitably customized, will be used for the transport
of VIP visitors in the Maranello factory and Fiorano race
track. The two Iveco Daily vans and the Proxys Minibus are
going to enlarge the Iveco fleet supplied to the Formula 1
Ferrari team already including eight Stralis Active Space
equipped with engine Cursor 13 by 480 HP and EuroTronic
transmission, two Stralis Active Time with engine Cursor 10
by 430 HP.

now going to enlarge the Iveco fleet which is
supplied to the Formula 1 Ferrari team. |

As well as two Eurocargo Tector ML80E18 with short cabin,
five Iveco Daily vans and two Daily Combi. Additionally, the
fleet includes two Iveco Irisbus minibuses and a motorhome
for the pilots, made by Irisbus on the basis of the bus
Granturismo Domino 2001 HDH. “We are very proud of this
partnership with Ferrari, with the presence of our vehicles
in a team so prestigious all over the world – declared
Stefano Sterpone – but it is also an incentive to remain
competitive on the market, fighting against ever harder
competitors with the same determination of the Ferrari reds
speeding on Formula 1 tracks”.
