Garage Italia will
be taking part once again in the Bologna International Motor
Show with its entire
Meta-branded 'city car'
range – designed and made entirely in Italy – which is made
up of the
Top,
Sport, Pocket and
Safari models, set to be on show. The motor show
opens to the media next Tuesday and to the public next
Thursday before running until 17th December.
The Meta range aims to offer the market a new choice in low
cost city motoring, agility, versatility, innovation and fun
are the aims Garage Italia has attempted to embed into the
tiny vehicles which all revolve around a basic theme. Three
power options are available: electric, petrol and diesel;
and compared to the 'prototypes' that made
their official debut at the Bologna Motor Show last December, this year’s
Meta show vehicles have
all undergone a complete visual face lift and also feature a number of mechanical
changes and improvements.

The same goes for two "world premières" to be
presented at the motor show
next week:
a two-colour 'Sports'
vehicle with coded bodyskirts and a revised interior; and
the
technologically innovative and luxurious
'IperTop',
which
features novelties such as a rear mounted camera to
assist reversing manoeuvres, a powerful hi-fi system, and doors
which are opened by simple hand contact. The other
Meta range proposals
also highlight a number of improvements relating to the
design of the steering wheel, the centre console and the
door interior panels. As regards the mechanical part, the
new revisions focus around the front and rear disc brakes
which equip the car.
