Mangoletsi,
the UK’s largest and longest-established authorised Alfa
Romeo dealership, has just completed a highly successful
appearance at the MPH06 motor show, held at the
National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. This is the first
time in several years that Mangoletsi has taken an active
part in a major public automotive event, and it is the first
step in a brand-new programme that will see the ambitious
company building up its brand awareness and taking the
message, to as wide an audience as possible, that Alfa Romeo
has an exciting and unrivalled range of new sporty and
exclusive models.
The headline
appearance by Mangoletsi at the MPH06 Motor Show came
just as the Knutsford, Cheshire-based firm gears up to
celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2007. During the last four
decades, Mangoletsi has built up its market-leading position
in the UK by bringing the joys of Alfa Romeo driving to its
customers through its unrivalled customer service and
support, making ownership both a practical and genuinely
affordable proposition. “We’re big enough to offer our
customers the best price and service, but equally as
importantly, our staff are really passionate about the brand
and we maintain an involved ‘family’ atmosphere,” says
Managing Director Fraser Hudson.
MPH06
is a fast-moving and glamorous motor show that showcases
only the most prestigious and luxurious of sports cars. It
is hosted by maverick BBC TV Top Gear presenters Jeremy
Clarkson and James May, who present the ‘live motoring
theatre’, a show which costs more than £1 million to stage.
“With Alfa Romeo one of the most famous and inspiring of all
the major automotive names, MPH06 was simply the
right place to be,” notes Fraser. “The exciting ‘new breed’
of models which have arrived over the last year have taken
the brand forward in every area, and we felt it was
important to emphasise this fact.”
Mangoletsi presented two important models from the Alfa
Romeo range in Birmingham: the new and well-received Alfa
159 1.9 Multijet, and the truly gorgeous Bertone-styled Alfa
GT Coupé, also shown in 1.9 Multijet specification. Sales Executive Craig Aspin
says: “These cars simply sell themselves.

"We saw a never-ending
stream of visitors to our stand, all keen to know more about
them, and with so much exotic metal scattered around the
halls we were very pleased that these two models could
generate so much interest and comfortably hold their own
against an array of prestigious cars. It was really
satisfying for us to meet many show visitors who had
previously owned – and loved – Alfa Romeos and be able to
show them that the current range offers them a genuine
alternative to whatever they are currently driving. To take
orders at the show and welcome new customers to Mangoletsi
was the real reward for us.”
Mangoletsi
Sales Specialist Peter Munson managed the Mangoletsi stand
at the NEC and was thoroughly pleased with the four-day
event. “Both the 159 and GT received a terrific response,”
he says, “not only from a string of our customers who we
were delighted to see dropping in on us, but also from the
show’s many visitors. We were also able to put together some
excellent show offers which drew positive feedback. It was a
hectic few days but well worth the effort; with everyone
really pulling together we achieved a lot.”
“We were
delighted by the responses we received in Birmingham,”
comments Fraser. “People are very aware of the Alfa Romeo
brand and are incredibly supportive of what we are trying to
achieve. The team here put a lot of effort into the show, so
it’s pleasing that it has been so rewarding.” Showcasing
Alfa Romeo models at MPH06 is the first step in an
exciting programme which will see Mangoletsi roll out a
string of initiatives during their fortieth anniversary
year. “2006 has been our busiest and most exciting year to
date, and 2007 is all set to carry us forward to new
heights,” concludes Fraser.
