Scuderia Ecosse
took the perfect result from the Easter Monday race meeting
at Oulton Park yesterday. Mirroring their win on Saturday,
Chris Niarchos and Tim Mullen took the victory in race two
of the 2006 British GT Championship. Mullen started the
hour-long race from pole position and handed the Ferrari
over to Niarchos in the lead after a trouble-free stint.
Chris then held off the challenge from Kimber-Smith in the
Panoz, increasing the gap between them, and cruised to the
chequered flag. With a perfect strike rate the pair are
fired up for their best season of racing yet.
Stewart Roden: I'm delighted that we have started
this season in exactly the same way as last year! We've had
a great weekend and I couldn't have asked for any more.
Considering the 430 is so new it is a testament to
Michelotto and guys at the factory that it has run without
fault, so thanks to them!
Chris Niarchos: We just had a dream weekend! We didnt
know what to expect from the competition before coming here
so its a great feeling to come out on top.

Tom (Kimber-Smith) and Luke (Hines) in the Panoz are great
competition and I think it'll be close this year. Oulton
Park suits us but there will be circuits that suit them too.
There's no better way to start the season than doing the
double so we have a lot to look forward to!
Tim Mullen: It would have been fantastic to come away
from Oulton Park with one win in the bag but to have two is
a dream. I think Chris will surprise a lot of people this
year. We are serious about winning this title; this is just
the beginning.
The next race for Scuderia Ecosse is round one of the 2006
FIA GT Championship, the RAC Tourist Trophy, at Silverstone
on 7 May.
