02.06.2006 The Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB has doubled in size FOR ROUND TWO OF THE TROFEO PIRELLI IN SPAIN THIS WEEKEND

This weekend (2,3,4, June) there will be three new drivers in the British team as the sound of 60 racing Ferrari V8s will howl around Ricardo Tormo race circuit in Valencia at the second round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli in Spain. The weekend will also feature historic Ferrari racing and F1 Clienti Formula 1 cars. The Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB has doubled in size since the first round at Silverstone as two new cars and three new drivers will join the starting grid in Spain. It is the next opportunity for the team to grab another pole position and podium finish following the excellent start to the season by Ross Kaiser in car 27, the UK’s leading driver in the Ferrari F430 Challenge car as he aims for his first victory.

Ferrari Challenge racing is the ultimate expression of luxury lifestyle racing, bringing together the race proven technology of the Ferrari F430 Challenge car, the best hospitality, competitive racing and entertainment for our clients on and off the track. In Spain spectators will see in excess of 150 Ferraris of all types from several Formula 1 cars to the 195C Ferrari plus four races in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli across the weekend.

At Silverstone we started the season well with a pole position and podium place, and the interest in our team at the race was so high that we have added two more cars to the GB team and welcome Christian Passuti, Lorenzo Case and Geoff Farmer.

It was a weekend of thrills and spills as the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli season started at Silverstone on 5th-7th May with a pole position and podium finish for the GB team.


"We will now hope to leave the English rain behind and head for better weather and a better result at Valencia,"Fedeli added. In a four-car team this weekend, the Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB will look to get on the podium with the backing of three of the UK’s Ferrari dealers; Graypaul of Nottingham, HR Owen in London and Maranello Sales Ltd in Egham, Surrey. Driving for Ferrari Dealer Team GB will be Ross Kaiser,  Christian Passuti and Lorenzo Case in the Trofeo Pirelli, with Borislav Maletić and Geoff Farmer competing in the Coppa Shell.

The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is the world’s most exclusive single-make racing series created as the perfect outlet for Ferrari owners who want to race. The 2006 season includes races in the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, climaxing at the World Finals in Italy all delivered in the style and luxury associated with any Ferrari occasion. The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli was created and is organised by Corse Clienti, the division within Ferrari S.p.A. dedicated to racing activities for Ferrari clients. The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli features the Ferrari F430 Challenge race car and all cars are provided by Ferrari S.p.A. to the same technical specification. In 2006 The Ferrari 360 Challenge car will also feature in the Coppa Shell before retiring form the championship at the end of the season.
