Morbidelli (36) boasts an impressive racing CV, including in
Formula One (he started in 67 Grands Prix) and many successful touring car campaigns
as a works driver for BMW, Alfa Romeo (in the 1993 Italian
Touring Car Championship) and for Volvo. Tavano (26) has
been a regular competitor in the FIA European and World
Touring Car Championships since 2001, and was the winner of
the 2004 Italian Super Production title (driving an Alfa
Romeo 147); last year he raced in both, the World and the
Italian Championships at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 156
which was prepared by Antonelli Sport.
After conducting a 3-day test and development session at
Vallelunga last month when Farfus was joined for the first
time by Morbidelli in the Alfa 156, the N.Technology team
will be testing at Magny-Cours in France next week, on
Thursday 9th and Friday 10th March, as they crank up their
preparations towards the first races of the 2006 FIA World
Touring Car Championship which take place on home soil at
Monza on 2nd April.
