26.03.2007 ALFA ROMEO AUSTRALIA INAUGURATES ITS DEALER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

Alfa Romeo Australia has rewarded its leading dealers for boosting customer service across all areas in its inaugural Alfa Romeo Dealer of the Year Awards. Alfa Romeo returned to Australia nine years ago and established an all-new dealer group dedicated to offering a new level of customer service to match the new generation of Alfa Romeo cars that started with the Alfa Romeo Sports car, the GTV and Spider, continued with the Alfa 156 and 147, and now there is a whole new generation of Alfa Romeo models.

“The reason that we have waited nearly ten years to launch Dealer of the Year Awards is not because we didn’t think our dealers were offering a high quality of service,” says David Stone, General Manager for Alfa Romeo in Australia. “Rather, we wanted to ensure that all our dealers were offering industry best practice – which they do – and then challenge them to really excel, which I am please to say that they have done! Looking at the category winners, what is clear is that no one dealer has dominated all areas to take the over all price, we have a wide range of dealers winning category awards from across the country,” says Mr Stone.

Australian Alfa Romeo Dealer of the Year Awards

Alfa Romeo Australia has rewarded its leading dealers for boosting customer service across all areas in its inaugural Alfa Romeo Dealer of the Year Awards.

“But there has to be one winner and what has set  winner of the our inaugural Alfa Romeo Dealer of the Year Award apart from the rest of the field is their methodical and self critical approach to achieving new levels of customer service. During the past 12 months they have tested every process and system in the dealership, looking for weaknesses and correcting them, usually before our judges spotted them. This is why we are proud to name Melbourne’s ‘Italian Motor Company’ the 2006 Alfa Romeo Dealer of the Year.”

The winners of the 2006 Alfa Romeo Dealer of Awards are: Parts Department (Rick Damelian Alfa Romeo, Leichhardt, Sydney); Service Department (Alfa Italia Crows Nest, Sydney); Sales Department (Italian Motor Company, Brighton, Melbourne); Customer Satisfaction (Lance Dixon Alfa Romeo, Doncaster, Melbourne); Dealership Facilities (Alfa Romeo Brisbane, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane)
