Ferrari's newest high-performance two-seater Berlinetta, the 430 Scuderia, has make its United States debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, giving evidence of the brand's tradition and ability to translate Formula One technology into its production vehicles.

With a dry weight of 2775 lb (1250 kg) and 503 HP (510 CV) delivered at 8500 rpm by its naturally aspirated 4308 cm3 V8 engine, the 430 Scuderia boasts an extraordinarily low weight-power ratio of just 2.45 kg/hp, which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Thanks to its sophisticated aerodynamics, F1-SuperFast2 gearbox, that brings to just 60ms the gear-shifting time, and E-Diff coupled with the sophisticated F1-Trac traction control system, this sporty new mid-rear engined berlinetta combines ultra-nimble handling with blistering fast acceleration.

According to Maurizio Parlato, President and Chief Executive Officer for Ferrari North America, Inc., the new Scuderia exceeds its North American clients' expectations. "The 430 Scuderia features a racing soul, which symbolizes the very passion and excitement that enthusiasts around the world have come to expect from Ferrari," said Parlato. "Our North American customers specifically have played a significant role in our owner's racing programs for nearly 15 years, and now we have a vehicle to share that spirit for street driving, while maintaining a stunning example of our racing heritage. For 2008, 250 cars will be available to this market".

All owners who finance or lease their 430 Scuderia through Ferrari Financial Services will be offered a two-day driving course through the Ferrari Driving Experience in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. The course has been specially tailored to allow clients to fully explore the performance capabilities of their Ferrari in a controlled and safe environment. The Scuderia Driving Course also features some challenging exercises conceived by Michael Schumacher, the 7 time Formula 1 World Champion who contributed to develop the 430 Scuderia at different stages. Launched in July 2007, Ferrari Financial Services was created to introduce Ferrari clients to a new world of services, including but not limited to financing options utilizing a wide range of personalized flexible programs.

Also on the stand alongside two new 430s Scuderia: one F430 Spider, Ferrari's best- selling model, the 612 Scaglietti, Ferrari's flagship GT, presented here in the 'Sessanta' edition, the limited series offered to only 60 collectors to celebrate Ferrari's 60th Anniversary, and the 599 GTB Fiorano.
