Fiat Automóveis has just introduced a new
version of the C-segment Stilo hatchback, the 'Stilo
Sporting'. The new facelifted model comes to the Brazilian
market very well equipped, it brings to the car a slightly
smoother appearance along with some changes made to its
mechanical aspects, giving the Stilo more sporty
characteristics and a very attractive and exclusive look.
The Stilo model range, which is only available in Brazil in
5-door format until Europe where a 3-door option was also
offered, has in the last couple of years seen a string of
special, range-topping, more sporty versions, with Fiat
Automóveis offering to the local market several evolutions
of the 'M.Schumacher' theme version.
The Fiat Stilo Sporting is fitted with the
popular 1.8-litre dual-fuel 'Flex' engine with 112 bhp when
using pure gasoline and 114 bhp on pure alcohol; the maximum
power figures are reached at 5,500 rpm. The engine - which
can use a mix gasoline and alcohol in an quantity - has
received has some mechanical changes to increase its all
round performance. The Stilo Sporting version accelerates
from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds (pure gasoline) and in
10.6 seconds (pure alcohol) and has a top speed of 188 km/h
(pure gasoline) and 190 km/h (pure alcohol).

This new version offers higher levels of standard equipment.
These features include cruise control, dual electric power
steering, radio with CD player and MP3, 'My Car Fiat', a
height-adjustable driver’s seat,
electric view mirrors,
electric front and rear windows, central
locking, a trip computer and a steering wheel that adjusts
axially and for height.
The Stilo Sporting also offers as optional equipment:
electric sun roof 'Sky Window';
Bluetooth technology; dual-zone
automatic climate system;
ABS+TC;
EBD;
17-inch alloys
wheels - 215/50R17;
and driver
and passenger airbags.
The available range of colors for this new
Stilo version has seven options: silver in three different
tones, black in two different tones, yellow and red. Besides
all those innovations Fiat Stilo Sporting arrives on the
Brazilian market for a very competitive price: R$ 58,200
(£14,550) that helps to strengthen Fiat’s strategy in Brazil
to increase its sales in the medium sized segment.
