A glimpse of the
art, the design and the technology that makes up
the embracing vision of speed, that is the proposal of the
new exhibition by Fiat Brazil, Speed - A Arte da Velocidade,
which is being shown from now until 30th September.
The exhibition is being held in the Casa Fiat de Culturaa,
a not-for-profit institution supported by Fiat Auto and
other companies of the Fiat Group in Brazil. Entrance is
free. This modern venue
was inaugurated by Fiat Brazil in 2006, allowing it to
apply its wide-ranging resources mainly
in the area of cultural activities. In a space covering 1,400 square meters,
are being approached
aspects of the arts which are related to the concept of
speed over the years, and making possible the understanding of this
evocative movement in arts, habits and in the setting of modern life.
A collection of unique and poignant 183 works of art,
including paintings,
sculptures, films, pictures, and of course the vehicles
themselves that represent
icons of design and technology, such as the Fiat
2300 S coupe from 1961, right up to an F1 World
Championship winning Ferrari driven by Michael Schumacher.
