The new Fiat
500 seduces not only with its looks. As confirmed by
tests, this model is also one of the safest in the
segment of small cars. This cult car is equipped by
Bosch with a complete braking system and injection
system, assuring dynamics and economic engine operation.
Driving Fiat 500 is more enjoyable thanks to a car audio
system by Blaupunkt, a division of Bosch.
On July 4 in
Turin, exactly 50 years after the premiere of Fiat 500
designed by Dante Giacosa, a younger version of the 500 was
presented to the public. The car was enthusiastically
welcomed in Italy and France; and right now the 500 is
starting its conquest of the German, Spanish, Swiss,
Austrian and Polish markets.
The model is equipped with numerous active safety systems
supplied by Bosch, such as ABS with EBD, ESP (Electronic
Stability Program), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), HBA function
(Hydraulic Brake Assistance) and Hill Holder system.
Moreover, the braking system of the vehicle includes disc
braking of front wheels and rear wheel drum brakes by Bosch.
In Euro NCAP's crash tests earlier this year, the Fiat 500
achieved as many as five stars, coming out at the top of its
segment. This was an unprecedented result, as it was the
first time in history that an A-segment car had achieved
such a high safety rating.
The new Fiat 500 is produced only in the factory in Tychy.
It is offered with three engines: dynamic and powerful,
economic fuel consumption, and environmentally friendly. The
versions equipped with the 1.4-litre petrol engine are
fitted with a fuel injection system by Bosch. The version
with a 1.3-litre diesel engine with DPF (Diesel Particulate
Filter) is equipped with a 'Common Rail' injection system
and glow spark plugs by Bosch, allowing reliable start-up
even at very low temperatures. All the engines of the Fiat
500 safely meet the requirements pertaining to limitation of
combustion gas emission, determined by the Euro 4 limit and
will be easily adjusted further, to adhere to even more
stringent regulations that will be seen in future European
standards' (Euro 5) that will probably come into force in
2009. Driving is made more enjoyable thanks to a car audio
system by Blaupunkt.
