Italian
pricing for the facelifted Fiat Croma have been
announced with the range's pricing starting at 23,500
euros for the 1.8 MPI engined version and running up to
33,500 euros for the highest specified 2.4 Multijet.
With its
bold new 'family' look, and in particular the
Bravo-inspired front end which is designed to provide
more substance, Fiat continues to develop the Croma's
'comfort wagon' theme. Introduced two years ago Fiat is
now ambitiously targeting 50,000 unit sales a year for
the refreshed model. The Croma is already one of the
roomiest vehicles in its class: 478 centimetres long,
177 wide, 160 tall, and with a wheelbase of 270 cm,
these are measurements that translate into an impressive
amount of interior space.
Now the
Nuova Croma arrives in the Italian showrooms and its
domestic pricing just been announced. The Italian range
comprises of just one petrol engine option (the
2.2-litre is still available outside of Italy to order)
and so the 1.8 MPI powers the range's 'entry level'
model. The 140CV 1.8-litre MPI 16v engine (175 g/km CO2)
is priced at 23,500 euros in 'Active' trim and 25,000
euros in 'Dynamic' specification (all prices include
taxes).
Three diesel
engines make up the oil burning range, which account for
the majority of sales: 1.9 8v, 1.9 16v and 2.4 20v. The
120CV 1.9 Multijet 8v opens the diesel pricing, and is
also the most 'environmentally friendly' power unit in
the range with CO2 emission of 160 g/km. With this unit
in situ the Croma is priced at 25,000 euros (Active),
26,500 euros (Dynamic) and 27,500 euros (Emotion). The
150CV 1.9 Multijet 16v (which also offers CO2 emissions
of 160 g/km) is priced at 28,000 euros (Dynamic), 29,000
euros (Emotion) and 30,500 euros (Must). The same car
with the automatic transmission option (187 g/km CO2) is
priced at 29,500 euros (Dynamic), 30,500 euros (Emotion)
and 32,000 euros (Must).
The final
model in the Nuova Croma range is the entry-topping
200CV 2.4-litre Multijet 20v (212 g/km CO2) which comes
only with automatic transmission. Two specifications are
available, firstly Emotion (32,000 euros) and finally
the highest priced, Must (33,500 euros).
