The new
Brazilian-built Fiat Punto
has been starring on the red carpet of the inaugural San Luis International
Film Festival, San Luis Cine, in Argentina, with
a fleet of the B-segment hatchback models whisking the
participants around the screen showings in comfort and
style.
Taking place in the Cultural
Centre Puente
Blanco in the city of San Luis in Argentina, the first
edition of the San Luis International Film Festival was sponsored amongst other companies by Fiat Auto Argentina and
Lorenzo Automotores. Attending this high profile cultural event
were a swage of
international actors, actresses and celebrities, including Catherine Denueve,
Geraldine Chaplin and Marina Kazankova. They had at their
disposal two new models which have both been recently launched in Argentinean
market: seven Fiat Puntos and two Ducato Minibuses.
The Festival
rewarded the best footage chosen by the judges with US$50,000;
for the best documentary the prize was US$10,000 while the best film
was rewarded with US$5,000
dollars. Divided into five sections, the first one was
called Cinema of the Author, and had an exhibition of ten
titles from several countries around the world. In the
second, Movie Latin America, were involved ten titles originating
from Latin America, Portugal and Spain. The third, Films for
all the Public, provided the great global successes. The
fourth section, was dedicated to the local industry while the
last one was reserved for documentaries and short films.
