In the
exhibition area of Fiat Professional at Transpotec 2007
in Milan four models of the New Fiorino will be on show, all
equipped with the amazing 1.3 75 HP Multijet engine – in
addition to air conditioner, fog lights, radio with CD
reader and Mp3 file - outstanding for the various passenger
module configurations and versatility of the load platform.
Two of these
vehicles are offered without sliding side doors, with
parking sensors and a functional removable overhead light on
the load platform. The third vehicle has a sliding side door
and is equipped with a folding seat (passenger side)
integral with the rotary bulkhead. Finally, the fourth new
Fiorino is a version with two sliding side doors, equipped
with folding seat (passenger side), protection ladder for
the driver, passenger's airbag and "Bluetooth hands-free
speaker" system.
Another novelty
is a Fiorino featuring electrical drive proving that
environment protection is of fundamental importance to Fiat
Professional – together with all the trademarks of the Fiat
Group Automobiles - in the development of its models. Ideal
for distribution and transportation in the city, the new
Fiorino featuring electrical traction was realized by Micro-Vett
and is equipped with a three-phase asynchronous power unit
with 15 / 30 kW power that allows to accelerate from 0 to 50
km/h in 7 seconds and to reach a maximum speed of over 80
km/h. Very high performance ( 20% gradients can be
negotiated at full load) proving that electric traction is a
valid alternative in the city, especially if combined with a
robotized gearbox, able to offer a "relaxed" driving
experience, also in heavy urban traffic.
The lithium-ion
batteries ensure an autonomy of over 100 km for the urban
cycle ECE 101 and recharge in 6-8 hours from the network
with a 3 kW socket (if a 9 kW network is available,
recharging s complete in only 3 hours). Finally, thanks to a
large cab (2.5 m3 capacity becoming 2.8 when the seat is
folded) and maximum capacity of 280 kg, the new Fiorino with
electric power unit is particularly suitable for delivering
small-medium parcels in city centres, markets, hospitals.
