Cledorvino Belini the CEO of Fiat
Automóveis, the Brazilian manufacturing division of Fiat
Group Automobiles Spa, has received the prize Executivo
de Valor, which is awarded by the most widely respected financial and
economic
newspaper in the country, Valor Econômico.
Belini was
presented the prestigious award during a ceremony yesterday
which congregated together Brazil's most important
executives in the city of São Paulo, where he was awarded
the prize as the most able executive in the automotive sector. In his
acceptance speech in front of the three hundred leading executives
who were present at the ceremony, Belini
shared the prize with the twenty thousand employees of the Fiat Group in
Brazil, strengthening its belief in the capacity of the country to overcome
its biggest and most searching challenges in its economical development.
The Executivo
de Valor award comes at a very important time for Fiat Automóveis, the
autonomous Brazilian manufacturing operation that holds
responsibility for imports across all of Latin America as
well as recently taking over control of South Africa. Last
year Fiat Automóveis celebrated 30 years of car production
at the Betim plant in Minas Gerais as it reconfirmed its
leadership of the Brazilian market. At the beginning of this month Fiat Brazil
also presented the new Palio model, a final facelift of
their best-selling C-segment model which has recently tipped
the VW Gol from the top sport in its segment.
